Updated: Mar 21, 2019

Isolate CBD vs Full Spectrum.

Isolated CBD is a extract which is created from the CBD Hemp plants concertrate oil. Using a distillation process which allows the isolated CBD content to be removed from other waxy forms, later then forms into a crystallised form. Often different shades of whites, indicating the quality. Labelled at 99.9% CBD.

CBD rich hemp has a large range of CBD Just like the Cannabis, as they are of the same plant except bred for low THC content, with the plant being used for more practical purposes. With so many compounds it amounts to over 300 different known types.

The few being companioned with CBD, even THC content, but in very minor amounts. Which rarely flags a false positive with doses of a full spectrum at 1000mg and 2000mg as the tests can read the other forms of Thc.

The downside is you lose the other Compounds and benefits from the spectrum of cannabinoids. Known as the Synergy Effect with other parts of the plants known as terpenes and other forms of CBD. (Yes there's more than one, up to hundreds, 300 known cannabinoids are known so far).

CBD being a catalyst it works far better with its other compounds allowing for a broader reach effect within the whole spectrum. THC has its high effects reduced by CBD but the benefits are still as good with the pair.

With this said medications can be blocked or amplified by the CBD compounds when taken orally or ways which involve liver interaction, also known as cytochrome P450, which is just the bodies metabolism of certain compounds and medications.

With CBD still being in Clinical trials in parts of the UK, most information available from US public investigations from their department of health. NIH medical studies, which can be found with simple search from places such as https://www.projectcbd.org/ or

It's always important to do your own research before using any product with CBD.

Advice online is mixed, groups often will just lean you towards products they prefer, with their own opinion in mind.

It always pays to be sceptical, often products will be cheap for a reason. Often Isolated CBD is cheaper then Hemp paste products which are full spectrum.

What's most important is 3rd party testing on they CBD ingredient, often some products will claim CBD from full spectrum. which often misleads people, which means Isolated CBD crystals are used over a hemp paste or even distillate CBD oil.

Types of CBD tinctures. Hemp oil isn't CBD oil, as its often oil from the compressed seeds or plant matter to create a oil, with some nice properties but will not contain CBD, unless labelled as CBD hemp oil. With that label, it will have CBD rich hemp paste diluted into virgin hemp oil or MCT oil or Olive oil. Some oils such as Golden oils are activated CBD through decarboxylated/heated then filtered to provide more key compounds, which can also degrade other compounds.

CBD Tincture. This often is CBD isolate dissolved into a carrier oil such as MCT or olive oil with a flavouring or none. unless stated as Distillate cbd oil.

Distillate CBD tincture oil. These are growing in the market with some great results, these are CBD rich oils filtered and purified through processes to create almost clear and tasteless full spectrum oils.

CBD Distillate often comes in Cartridges for vape pen (not e-cigs) giving high instant doses.

Taking any CBD product it's important to figure out your own doses, with trial and error. Simply by trying one product one drop per day. the next couple days adding another drop and carrying this onwards until you find the correct dose. Low and Slow technique.
